"Are you all right?" Skimble asked the kitten, before Leathik shook himself off and stepped next to him. "You'll get better at jumping," said the Railway Cat with a grin. "Now. Next step is to see if you can find any scents." He raised his nose in the air and inhaled. "Follow me?"

The kitten sniffed and mewled. He started to sniff much like Skimble did, sniffing again and again until he felt light-headed. He sat down after a moment, then stood up again. He couldn't smell anything in just one place, so why not head on? He padded forwards, out of the office to try smelling anything else.

Skimble follows the little kitten out of the stationmaster's office, back into the station. The murmur of conversing humans and the clatter of coming and going trains soon surrounded them as they dodged and weaved their way through the corridors. "Good," said the Railway Cat. "What do you sense?"

He could only smell human after human after perfume after smoke after other human after boot after many other things. All of the scents made him sneeze, and he covered his little, sensitive nose.

Skimble laughed. "Bless you." He soon caught up to the younger kitten and placed a paw on his shoulder. "So you haven't found anything. That's okay, we'll keep looking. Perhaps on one of the boarding trains?"

Did.. Did this mean that he could go on a train? Leathik mewled and smiled, looking up at the cat. Of course he'd love that! Fresh from recovering from the sneeze, the kitten hopped up and down like an excited rabbit.

"Okay, let's go," Skimble smiled, and began to lead the cat to one of the boarding stations. He turned a corner and noted a train just pulling in, its wheels whistling shrilly on the tracks. The doors opened, and as humans began pouring out, Skimble turned to Leathik. "There's our chance. Come on!"

Of course, the kitten could hardy hold himself back. Racing ahead of Skimbleshanks, then back, and then around him again, Leathik leapt onto the train as soon as he could with the Railway cat.

"Now," Skimble said, "we don't have much time, so let's make this quick. I was planning on searching the back, and you can do the front. Does that sound good to you?"

"Mew," he let out in a nod of agreement. The kitten started to sniff, sneezed, then sniffed again. His nose was close to the ground and he moved forward quickly. Leathik still was a little overwhelmed by the lot of scents around him, but he did his best to quickly sniff out the front of the train.

Skimble did the same, padding around the back and looking for scents (keeping an eye on Leathik all the while, as it would be foolish to leave him unsupervised), but the Railway Cat didn't find anything. He hadn't expected to, really; exploring the train was more for the sake of training Leathik than anything else. Skimble sniffed the air one last time before heading back to the middle of the train, gesturing to Leathik to follow his lead.

Of course, the kitten followed Skimble's lead, heading back to the middle of the train. He was twitching his nose from all the scents, and he gave a little grin. Though, there was one question on his mind. How could Skimble stand all these smells with all these humans?

Skimble noticed the nose twitching and smiled. "You get used to it." He looked around and considered their options. "Where to next?" he asked Leathik.

Where -was- there to go next? The luggage van? Leathik mewled very softly and shrugged, looking to the door of the train.

"The luggage van?" Skimble asked him. "Fair enough." He padded over to the door and opened it with a flick of his paw. It was dark inside, but this of course didn't matter to the cats. Skimble gestured toward the inside with his paw. "Have at it," he said again, smilng.
