My, my, my... what an interesting position...

((Characters: Bombalurina, Burelle, Etcetera, Jemima, Munkustrap, Rokkonen, Selina, Simeon

Thread Summary: Bombalurina wakes up after a pleasant night and takes a walk, during which she finds Rokkonen and Selina curled up together. She is highly scandalized. Rokkonen tries to fix things, Selina makes things worse.

Simeon, meanwhile, has practiced blinking and winking and staring at the world. While Munkustrap sleeps, Burelle plays with her oldest male kitten.

Jemima comes back from an adventure in which she has made the acquaintance of a new male tom, and Etcetera tries to find out what she was up to, to no avail. She gets upset, but Burelle manages to soothe things over between the sisters.

Bomba returns home and she and Munkustrap groom each other and chat. Munkustrap mentions his concerns about the food supply.))


Bombalurina blinked open her eyes. She smiled as she realised she had fallen asleep in Munkustrap's arms. She slipped from his grasp, kissing his cheek softly before leaving the piano.

She wandered through the snow, deciding to find her brother. She followed his scent, finding him in a laundary basket with--

"Oh my Everlasting cat!" Bomba exclaimed, recognizing Selina.

Rokkonen looked up, noticing Bombalurina. "Oh, Bomba, it's not what it looks like--"

"Did you...? You two...? She's just a kitten!" Bomba shouted, fuming. "This crosses the line, Rokkonen!"

Rokkonen covered his sister's mouth with his paw. "Husssh! You'll wake up the whole tribe!"

"Damn right I will!" Bomba said, moving away from his paw and placing her paws on her hips.

[Munkustrap Etc.]

Munkustrap opened his eyes and lifted his head as Bomba left, sleepily tracking her movements until she was out of the piano, when he set his head down again, unworried. She'd be fine. The yard was safe, albeit cold.

Burelle had fallen asleep still purring, one paw around Simeon, one around the other three kittens. She had continued to shower attention and praise on Simeon, helping him open his right eye. If he could open his left, than it was safe to open his right... or else something was horribly wrong with it. Burelle had been relieved to find nothing amiss.

[Arya]

Selina jumped up at Bomba's first yell, never being one to be able to fall into a deep sleep. She tilted her head to the side, as her vision became clear. Oh great, it was that whiney, prissy, pregnant queen. And she was so comfortable too. Not to mention warm. She sighed and stretched out. "I'm two and eight months thank you." Was all the said and she sat down. "Don't loose yourself in your hormones sweetie, you will get a bad rep. And we all know a queen as pretty as you needs to keep a perrrrfect rep." She said letting the "R" sling on as she said perfect.

She didn't really want to deal with the queen right now. So she looked at Rokkonen, raised an eyebrow, yawned, then laid back down. "And you shouldn't be talking. I'm not the pregnant one here." She said with a nasty smile creeping onto her face. "I didn't see Rokkonen fume when he saw that his sister was pregnant. And you get mad just because I'm sleeping beside him? Wow. Your just a grumpy little queen aren't you?" She said her voice as always, dripping with sarcasism.

[Shannon]

Simeon didn't sleep a wink-- infact, he had practiced winking. He had only managed creative blinking, but his blue eyes never ceased to study everything. He watched his momma and his siblings; he watched the nice kittens; he watched the red and silver kitties; he watched the black and white kitty; he watched everybody. He also watched his tail. It had taken him awhile to realize it was a part of his body. Amazing!

[Munkustrap Etc.]

Burelle stirred and yawned, waking up. She looked down at Simeon and grinned to see his beautiful kitten-blue eyes. "Have you been awake all night?" she asked, giving him a good-morning kiss. "The world's a beautiful place, isn't it?"

[Shannon]

Simeon squeaked in agreement, watching a fly buzz around the piano. He pointed and squealed in delight. He wanted to fly! He buzzed like the fly, spit burbling out of his mouth.

Bombalurina chose to ignore the queen. "Rokkonen, did you sleep with her?"

"Yeah." Bomba's eyes grew wild. "No! Not like that! We just fell alseep together. That's it, I swear!" Rokkonen said.

Bomba shook her head. "Rokko... you have to behave..."

"Since when do you get to boss me around?"

"Since I took care of Hunkidory with absolutely no one to help me!"

"You had Kianna," Rokkonen argued.

Bombalurina raised her eyebrow. "Yeah. Sure, like she was going to do anything. She stayed with her humans the whole damn time! And you and Dionysis running around the city! The last I heard of Dio, he was in a street gang!"

Rokkonen sighed. "Can we talk about this... later?" He was relieved when Bombalurina nodded. "Okay. Now, you're not going to tell anybody, right?"

"Why would you be worried if there's nothing to tell?"

"Just promise, okay?" Rokkonen said, exasperated.

Bombalurina didn't say anything; she just nodded. Rokkonen relaxed.

[Munkustrap Etc.]

Burelle looked over at the fly Simeon was watching, and then down at the buzzing kitten. "You want to be a fly?" She picked him up, wooshing him into the air (and being very careful not to drop a squirming kitten). "Fly, Simeon!"

[Arya]

Selina raised an insulted eyebrow at Rokkonen. What was wrong with people knowing? She wasn't a secret that needed to be hidden, they only kissed, alot. She suantered up behind Rokkonen, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Why would you be worried about her telling any one. If I am as shameful a secret as you just implied your sister I'm sure wouldn't want everyone to know that this shame kissed her brother would she?" She said, even though she had been just a bit hurt at the moment, she managed to keep her voice cool, calm, and sarcastic.

[Shannon]

Simeon giggled and gurgled, trying to make the buzzing sound. He burped in mid-air, but didn't stop squealing with delight. The fly dodged him, but Simeon reached out occasionally to grab it. He squeaked in surprise when he felt the fly brush his paw. He turned to look at his mother, his eyes wide.

[Munkustrap Etc.]

Burelle gave Simeon a surprised look. "Did it touch you?" she asked, laughing lightly herself. When the kittens opened their eyes, things were looking up. It meant they were getting stronger, they were less likely to die for no reason, and they were much more active and interesting.

It also meant that it was easier to grow attached to them, and harder when they did die...

[Shannon]

Simeon found himself nodding. He buzzed again, a few drops of saliva shooting from his mouth to his mother.

[Shannon]

Rokkonen sighed. "Selina, it's not like that." He wrapped his arms around the queen's waist, ignoring Bomba's glare. "Other cats might take it the wrong way." He glanced over at Bombalurina. "My sister, for example."

[Arya]

As Rokkonen wraped his arms around her waist, she returned Bomba's glare with a smile. "I guess you have more at stake then me." She said with a smile. Most of the other cats hated her anyways, and she didn't give a damn abotu what 'they' thought. Which in this case was odd, because normaly the male didn't give a damn abotu his rep but the female did. Well, when you meet Selina, those things get swtitched around.

[Munkustrap Etc.]

Burelle buzzed back at Simeon, ignoring the kitten drool. He was a baby. All babies drooled.

[Arya]

(I must go for the night, my mom has finaly won the battle. Night!)
