Quaxo was pissed. Not only had Munkustrap torn his heart in half, but now he wanted to be his friend? The young tom snorted in his half-sleeping daze, curled against the sleeping Tumblebrutus and frowning deeply.

The new couple was in the piano still, with the kittens and that banshee Munkustrap had decided to call his mate. It looked as if the patched tom and his tuxedo partner were asleep, but Quaxo was not. He was merely brooding about the fight from before and the fact that the past couple days had been absolutely horrible.

Trying not to wake his new lover, Quaxo slowly pulled himself from Tumblebrutus's arms. He moved away from the tom, going over to the wall nearby and curling his legs to his chest. He glared unconsciously at Bombalurina, but soon his gaze turned to the kittens, watching them.

Plato had not been around for a while, but he'd learned the news of the Junkyard through talk from other Jellicles who'd passed by his place of residence outside the 'Yard, which was a dark alley on the outskirts of Jellicle territory. Not too many of his tribe-mates ventured this close to the Monniks, but Plato found it rather peaceful, since neither of the tribes liked being around it.

So, he'd finally made his way back to the Junkyard, only to see Munkustrap exiting the piano. With a little, concerned frown, he made his way over to the tabby, walking beside him.

"Hey, Munk."

[Munkustrap Etc.]

Tumble stirred as Quaxo pulled away, but he didn't wake up.

Burelle, however, was awake, and she looked over at Mirza as he moved. Something had happened between her son and her grandson, and since Ritzy didn't seem interested in talking to her, she'd have to get her gossip from the other half. She crooked a paw at him, trying to get him to come closer without saying anything that might wake her babies.



Munkustrap offered Plato a small smile. "Hello, Plato. I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?" Perhaps Plato could be useful. Tumblebrutus, for all his griping about his brothers, really did look up to them and was rather close to the other patched toms. He might have told Plato something about his relationship with Quaxo that Munkustrap didn't know.

Quaxo perked up when he saw his grandmother motioning for him. He nodded and stood slowly, making his way over to the queen and lying down beside her, on the side that her kitttens weren't on. He leaned over and nuzzled her gently, kissing her cheek. "Hey, Gr- Burelle," he murmured, curling up against the older queen and sighing.

Plato grinned at the tabby and leaned over to give him a friendly nuzzle. "I've been doing well. How are you holding up? I've heard things about you and... Quaxo."

As Burelle shifted and signaled for Quaxo to come, Mali awoke, her comfort spot somewhere else now. Now that her mother had moved, her comefort spot was no longer.... Mali tried to get up and find a new comfort spot, which woke up Aprilli, who started mewing which caused Mali to start mewing.
Hearing the kittens mew, Electra jerked her head up groggily... That's the second time that I have been woken up... What is going on??? Why is everyone having bad dreams??[/b]

[Munkustrap Etc.]

"Hey, baby," Burelle said, kissing Mirza's cheek back. "You okay?" She really wanted to ask what was going on between Mirza and Ritzy, but that could wait until her second question. She leaned over to her other side, nuzzling her mewing kittens and cooing to them, trying to get them to fall asleep again.



Munkustrap returned the nuzzle and gave a dry laugh. "News certainly does travel fast, doesn't it?" He shook his head. "I broke up with Quaxo, chose Bomba to be my mate. He's... not taking it well."

With a low, grumpy growl, Electra closed her eyes and tried to go back to sleep. Mali continued to mew. Aprilli fell back asleep within a moment of her mother's cooing. Mali on the other hand refused to go back to sleep.

"I don't know," Quaxo sighed, looking over at the kittens and reaching over to pet Mali's head. "Everything that's been going on lately... I guess it's just..." He sighed again and buried his face in Burelle's fur. "I don't know."

Plato nodded, laughing quietly. "Yeah, it does travel fast," he murmured, looking over to the other and frowning then. "Oh... I'm sorry, Munk. At least you have Bomba now, right?"

[Munkustrap Etc.]

"What happened, sweetie?" Burelle asked, turning a concerned glance to Mirza before returning her attention back to her oldest kitten. She was paying attention to Mirza, as evidenced by the ear pointed in his direction, but she needed her eyes on her babies.



"Yes, I do have Bomba. And Quaxo... has Tumblebrutus." Munkustrap looked solemnly at Plato. "Did Tumble say anything to you about that?"

Quaxo held his breath for a moment before sighing quietly. "... well... Munkustrap br-... he... he chose Bombalurina," he whispered, closing his eyes tightly. "And, I know I have Tumble, but... it's just, not the same, you know? And then earlier tonight, he just comes over to check on us, because he was worried about us..." Quaxo paused. "And we fought. Like... mostly, it was just me, but I yelled at him for no reason. I can't control myself. I feel so horrible when he's around me now... but he wants to be friends. I want that, too, but it hurts so much..."

"He hasn't," Plato said, tilting his head to the side a little. "What do you mean Quaxo has Tumble? Are they together now?" Hah. I knew he'd get with him sometime.

[Munkustrap Etc.]

"Oh, baby..." Burelle placed one last kiss on Mali's head before pulling Mirza close in a hug. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I was rooting for you." Somewhat.



"I think so," Munkustrap said. "Except... I'm worried about him. Tumble." Munkustrap sat down with a sigh. "He seemed... uncomfortable, earlier. I don't know if he wants to be with Quaxo."

Quaxo smiled faintly and returned the hug to his grandmother, closing his eyes. "Thanks, Burelle," he said quietly, kissing her cheek again. "It means a lot."

Plato laughed. "Oh, he does," he assured Munkustrap, putting a paw on his shoulder. "He told me a while back that he's practically in love with Quaxo. Said the only reason he wasn't with him was because of you. Bet he loves being with him."

[Munkustrap Etc.]

Burelle nuzzled Mirza's cheek and rubbed his back. "I'm here for you, honey. If you ever want to talk about how toms are rats, I'm your queen." She winked at him.



Munkustrap frowned. "Well... if he loves Quaxo... I suppose that's okay." He rubbed a paw over his face. "I just... don't want Quaxo to hurt him because of me."

Mali's mews died off some as she started dozing off. Electra was asleep again, also. || Gah, now I'm sooo used to posting somewhat decent posts that this sucks! Sorry, but I'm tired....||

Mali woke up again, which again caused Aprilli to wake up, which resulted in them both to mew loudly this time... Grumpy that they were awaken.. But you want to talk about grumpy, just ask Electra... Grrrrrr.... Do they ever stay asleep??!??!?!?! Jeez.... That's the third time....... I will never be able to sleep.....!!!! Electra thought as she pulled her pillow that she slept on over her head, trying to block out the wailing of the kittens..... No such luck.
