Demeter has been petrified of anything that bangs, screeches or sneeks up on her since Macavity tried to take her away again. She always hangs around with either her best friend, Bombalurina or with the tribe's protector, Munkustrap; they're like her security guards. Demeter only really trusts them, she prefers not to open up to the other members of the tribe but still speaks to them to be polite, it's better than being alone when anyone can get you.
Deme was born into a litter of five someone out of town. She can't remember to much of her past, other than being taken away from her mother, Demeter has to restrain herself from crying when she talks about the faint memory.
Demeter lives with her humans and only ever ventures outside to go to the Junkyard, even when she's at home she's alert to everything. Her 'owners' were rather concerned about her staying in so frequently and took her to the vets. Once she was there, the lashed out at the vetanarian and ran off to the Junkyard, she soon returned home but was now furious. After that she spent much more time out with the Jellicles.
She first joined the Jellicles after hearing music. Deme had heard them rejocing, "Jellicle songs for Jellicle cats", she followed the sound and soon found them. She was greeted kindly by many whilst others were very cautious of her. Demeter believed that they should have that reaction, after all, she did just mysteriously appear from no where. Being an older adolescent, she didn't take it too badly but wished that they could of started off better than that.
It wasn't long until everyone seemed used to her presence. Demeter was lucky that she had her natural talent for singing and being able to pick up dance quickly. She copied how Bomba danced but toned down the amount of sexuality the red queen put into her dance.
It has been obvious to many that she has 'liked' Munkustrap for a long time, she had started to enjoy his company after she knew he was concerned about her and was worried.
Demeter has a black and gold coat, small stripes of red can be seen if her body is studied in great detail, she also has orange and yellow 'gloves' on her arms. Her build is fairly tall and slender, she isn't as tall as Bombalurina though. She has blue eyes that can be seen clearly in the night. Deme has a long bushy tail and quite a pretty face.
Demeter is timid, she's always been that way but only became extremely paranoid when she realised she had interested Macavity. She is a kind, sweet queen hid behind fear of the furture. She can be rather sexy when she wants to though, she loaths Rum Tum Tugger for his sexuality, she says he's "full of it".
She's now just gone three years old, Demeter no longer feels as targeted as she did when she was a adolescent now that she's older.
