((Characters: Admetus, Bombalurina
Thread Summary: Bombalurina tells Admetus she's pregnant.))
Bombalurina left the den and exited into the cold, icy night. She shivered a bit, partly from cold and partly from… something else. She couldn’t pinpoint what it was, exactly. Something.
A handsome brown and white tom slipped through the shadows, watching as Bombalurina made her way to the nursery dresser. He hung back, silently sneaking up on the queen until he was close. Then, he pounced, wrapping his arms around her waist and whispering, “Hello Bombalurina.”
Bomba was on her way to check in with Jellylorum and make sure the kittens were alright. She was surprised by the tom behind her, but fell back into him. “Hello Admetus,” she whispered back.
Admetus smiled. “What are you doing out here, all alone in the cold?” He ran his fingers down her right side. “You need someone to warm you up.”
“And would you be that person?” Bombalurina wouldn’t mind getting… close to the tom. Besides, it’s not like she could get anymore pregnant.
Admetus didn’t answer. He just kissed her neck. Bombalurina leaned into him, letting him kiss her.
“Follow me,” Admetus said, leading the queen to his den. It was a large stove, empty now and unusable for cooking. However, it was the right size for a tom and his… guest. The tom closed the oven door when Bombalurina had hopped in to join him.
Bombalurina lay on the pillows in the back-right corner, her tail flicking as she waited for him. Admetus padded over, kissing her lips gently. He pulled her close until their bodies seemed to almost entwine. There lips touched every part of the other’s body, the two cats feeling suddenly energized.

Admetus was about to enter the red queen when Bombalurina yelped, “Stop!” Bomba pulled back from the now very confused tom.
“What?” Admetus asked, puzzled. “Is it something I did?”
Bombalurina didn’t answer. She started sobbing into her hands, her whole body shaking with each cry. Admetus was surprised, but tried his best to comfort her. He rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. Bomba leaned onto his shoulder, still crying, but softer.
“What’s wrong Bomba?” Admetus asked quietly. Bombalurina shook her head. “Come on. You can tell me.”
Bomba wiped her tears away with the back of her hand. “Oh Admetus,” she whispered hoarsely, “I’m pregnant. And… and I think you might be the father.”
“What?!” Admetus exclaimed, jumping back and colliding with the wall. He seemed unfazed by the metal hitting his skull.
Bomba cried out, “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean for this to happen! It wasn’t supposed to be like this—“
“So now you come here for a quick lay?” Admetus yelled, interrupting her. “When did you plan on telling me, Bombalurina? When they were born and looked just like me?” He shook his head. “Who else have you told?” he asked quietly.
“Just you,” Bomba said, relieved her wasn’t yelling anymore. “And Munkustrap.”
“Munkustrap?!” Admetus yelled. “Why did you tell Munkustrap?”
“Well, he might be the father too—“
“How many toms have you slept with, Bombalurina? Are you going to compare each kitten to every damn tom in the Jellicle tribe?!” Admetus slammed his fist into the wall.
“Why are you so angry with me?” Bomba yelled back. “It’s not like we’re mates or something!”
“Don’t you understand?” Admetus asked, exasperated. “With kittens comes responsibility! If I’m the father, I’ll be expected to care for them and you! I don’t want that!”
“Do you think I wanted to get pregnant?” Bombalurina yelled. “Do you think I’m happy about this?”
“Damn it Bombalurina! You just don’t get it!”
“No, maybe I don’t!”
Admetus slumped against the wall and buried his head in his hands. “Get out Bombalurina.”
“What?”
“Get out! I want you out of my house!” He yelled, his voice cracking a bit.
“Fine! I don’t want to be near you anyway!” Bombalurina said, making her way out of the den.
“Whore,” Admetus said as she slammed the oven door. Once outside, Bombalurina slumped to the ground sobbing, her tears warm against her cheeks in the icy cold weather. She stood slowly and shakily, then walked back to Jellylorum. She needed to make sure the bastard kittens she carried weren’t going to die on her.
