As I'm sure most of you have noticed, not all that much is actually happening in the game. The threads aren't all that different day to day.
The idea of Grumbuskin coming in and causing trouble has been suggested earlier. Talking with the senior-most staff members, we've come up with a way to actually bring him in.
Please, everyone, give us your opinion on this plot idea. We'd like to implement it, but want to make sure everyone's cool with it first.
As the winter continues on, food is getting scarce in the junkyard. The guardians are going out in twos and threes, trying to bring in food from somewhere for the kittens and other cats stuck in the piano.
One day, as Alonzo leads the hunting party, Macavity sweeps in with his Monniks, outnumbering and overwhelming the Jellicles. Munkustrap is still in the yard, but he surrenders when Macavity threatens to kill some of the Jellicles he has already imprisoned, such as the kittens, Quaxo, or Bomba.
With the Jellicles being captured and tortured by the Monniks, Alonzo and his party are left out (along with any house cats not in the junkyard at the time (Tugger, Demeter, Deuteronomy, Victoria, you guys get to decide which side your cats are on - free or captured)). It's up to the free cats to rescue the rest of the Jellicles... but how are they going to manage that!?
Enter Grumbuskin. New to the city, Grumbuskin and his motley crew could use some food and safe, non-ship places to spend the rest of winter. Alonzo and company offer the Junkyard in exchange for assistance in getting it back.
With Grumbuskin's help, the Monniks are driven back, and the Jellicles can rejoice. Grumbuskin and his pirates are welcomed among the Jellicles.
But Grumbuskin is already mentally picking out which Jellicles to cart off when he sails away come spring...
If we do this, we'll need everyone's help. We ask that EVERYONE takes on at least one Monnik and/or pirate (preferably at least one of each). Monniks are usually dirty, and queens 4 years old or younger can be Burelle's daughters. Pirates will probably fit into one of three categories: Just as sadistic and perverted as Grumbuskin, and therefore a friend (no examples yet), a victim of Grumbuskin and therefore a slave following him (usually loyally - he is scary enough that his slaves obey) (Example: Curculio, Things), or so freaking strong that Grumbuskin is just grateful to have the extra muscle (no examples yet)

If you'd like help coming up with a name for your cat, here's a list of names of the characters in various languages. This is what scean and I use to name most of our new cats, as the names are mostly made in the same tradition as the originals.

Monniks
- Macavity - Evil red tabby, he loves his son, but hates the fact that he ran off to the jellicles and now vows to kill him. He wants to kill munkustrap. Basically... he wants the entire Jellicle tribe dead. (scean)
- Flapp - a skinny, all-black tom who’s barely past his adolesence. He joined the Monniks seeking power. He’s been known to get out of some tight binds by pure chance (after all, black cats are considered lucky in England). (Deuteronomy)
- Griddlebone - Griddlebone is an all white Persian cat. Well known for the story of Growltiger, where she seduced her way into his trust. She has long all white soft fur, and a long fluffy tail that she loves to swing around like a prop. She is also a close and highly known agent of Macavity. (Arya)
- Hendrunkus - Loyal to Macavity, grey cat but black with soot, mean (scean)
- Jokaste - Tortoiseshell queen, Burelle's daughter, thief/prostitute, duos with Smokkate, is the smaller/older (4 years) of the two. (Spider)
- Merade - a white queen with brown and beige patches, just out of kittenhood. She is Jokaste's daughter, although she was raised by the older Monnik queens. She is now bent on following in her mother and aunt's pawsteps. (Shannon)
- Nala- a Monnik queen who is completely red with the exception of white on her paws and the tip of her tail. She follows Ruusu every where on the account that she has a crush on him and has ever since they met. She is loyal to Macavity and will do what he commands. (Electra)
- Ruusu - Ruusu isn't evil, he's just afraid of macavity and so he does his dirty work, he's Hedrunkus's brother and also grey but black with soot (scean)
- Smokkate - Tortoiseshell queen, Burelle's daughter, thief/prostitute, duos with Jokaste, is the larger/younger (3 years) of the two. (Spider)
- Zalika - Black, soot-covered kitten. Rude, uncaring, Ruusu's son (scean)

Grumbuskin's Pirates
- Grumbuskin - Big, perverted, sadistic monster of a cat. Battered grey tabby, bigger than Munkustrap, can have a gruff charm. (Spider)
- Aneski - Thing 2, a bronze Egyptian Mau (gold with black spots), the younger of the magician twins Grumbuskin has working for him. Completely loyal to Grumbuskin and Djau. Only her brother calls her by her name, to everyone else, she's just one of the Things. (Sonja)
- Cage - a yellow, ruffled-looking adult tom with sleek muscle and a wicked bite. He’s got a razor thin temper and a less than sharp mind. (Deuteronomy)
- Curculio (Weevil) - Smoke-colored adolescent tom, no tongue, usually very filthy. Needs Grumbuskin to survive, so follows him faithfully. Used for his muscle. (Spider)
- Diavolo: a dark gray tabby tom with only half a tail. He fought to try and save his daughter, Mirabelle, when she was taken aboard and lost his tail in the process. Grumbuskin admired his fierceness and "invited" him aboard. (He didn't have much choice in the matter...) He works as a cabin boy, even though he's almost nine years old. He hasn't spoken to his daughter in years. It's a game of the crew; keep Diavolo as far away from Mirabelle as possible. He knows what his daughter is up to, and can do nothing but sit around. - Djau - Thing 1, a bronze Egyptian Mau (gold with black spots), the older of the magician twins Grumbuskin has working for him. Completely loyal to Grumbuskin and Aneski. Only his sister calls him by his name, to everyone else, he's just one of the Things. (Sonja)
- Matamore - A French pirate, he has that sleek French accent and is quiet the ladies tom, he is also, like Grumbuskin, perverted. He is a white cat with light red/ brownish spots, and brown eyes. He is also very tall and has a lot of muscle to back him up. (Arya)
- Mirabelle: a black and gold calico queen with bright green eyes. She was kidnapped as a small kitten to... entertain the crew. She's now three years old, and is extremely greatful to have been saved from her awfull family. (Of course, that's Grumbuskin talking.) (Shannon)
- Xinix- A young red/black/orange/white striped tom who will follow the other pirate cats. He is just as sadistic and perverted as Grumbuskin, and you could say that they are friends, or close to it… He’ll go any where Grumbuskin is going…… He once was a victim of Grumbuskin’s but is now friends with him… (Electra)
